This morning, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District announced that all schools in the Mat-Su Valley are closed because of icy road conditions, except Glacier View.


For the Susitna Valley, a winter storm advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. In the Matanuska Valley, a freezing rain advisory is in effect until 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Black ice is being reported on portions of the Glenn and Parks highways.


The Anchorage School District says its schools are still open, but buses may run a little late.
