It can happen to anyone of any sex, age, race or religion: domestic violence. A group of Matanuska-Susitna Valley residents is trying to stand up against the epidemic of violence.

Dan Goff and Morgan Chapman with the group, No More Mat-Su, explained their approach and upcoming events to raise awareness.

“You can teach them about what happens, but the only way you can change culture is to teach it early,” Chapman said. “So I think it’s important that we teach it to the youth that violence isn’t okay, that even though you may see it somewhere else, it doesn’t mean it’s okay at home.”
