Woman stabbed at her Claystone at the Crossing apartment

LAFAYETE, Ind. (WLFI) — A woman is recovering after she was stabbed in the stomach at her Claystone at the Crossing apartment Monday.

Lafayette police said the woman was stabbed around 6 p.m. on her back porch at 580 Northchester Lane in Lafayette.

Officers said the victim has been taken to a nearby hospital.

However, police said the woman was alert and able to bandage her wound when they arrived on scene.

Police said they have no suspect at this time and received little information from nearby neighbors.

Authorities said the investigation is still ongoing.
