BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – First period mistakes doomed the Binghamton Senators tonight as they fell 3-1 to the visiting Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Following a scoreless second period, Carter Rowney batted home are bound off of a shot from Taylor Chorney for his eighth goal of the season to give the Penguins a 3-0 lead. Max McCormick broke up Murray’s bid for his 11th shutout of the year when he redirected a shot from Fredrik Claesson into the back of the net with less than five minutes to play in regulation. Despite a flurry of scoring chances over the final few minutes of play, Murray and the Penguins’ defense held on for the 3-1 lead.
