New York Schools Participate In Odyssey of the Mind Tournament

More than 700 students are showing off their creativity and problem solving skills all in fun competition.

It's part of the annual region 12 Odyssey of the Mind Tournament.
The competition held Saturday at Broome-Tioga BOCES main campus, includes students from 46 difference schools with 95 teams making this year the largest regional tournament in the state.
The Odyssey of the Mind Tournament has been going on for more than 20 years. Teams even include students from as far as Syracuse.

Supervisor at BOCES Lynette Bryan said, "On April 11th the winners from each regional division go to Binghamton University and compete at the state level. From there they go to the national level. "
Jeremy Hubbard, 2nd Grade Participant said, "I like it because I like to put on plays and be silly."

15 school teams placed first, ten teams placed 2nd and 10 teams came in 3rd place.
