Mom's House is "rocking" out in rocking chairs to raise money for their foundation.

Their "Rocker-Thon" kicked off Saturday at Our Savior Lutheran Church.

More than 100 people came out to participate in some trivia, games and to win some prizes.

Mom's House is a non-profit free New York State licensed child care center that provides free services to low-income full time single mothers.

Mom's House Office Manager Diane Avery said, "The day care is free but it still costs us what it takes to operate a day care center. So these fundraisers that we do throughout the year are very important for us to keep the program going."

Saturday, Mom's house raised more than $5,000. For more information on Mom's House, you can contact Mom's House at 607-644 -9972.
