Mayor David Outlines Plans for Parking Garages

Binghamton city parking garages will see some renovations. The plan outlined in Mayor Rich David's 2015 State of the City address last week, allows for $1.4 million dollars to go toward the city owned garages.

The garages scheduled for the rehabilitation are located on Collier Street, State Street and Water Street.

Work will include slab repairs of concrete structures, beam rehabilitation, curb repairs and floor draining.

Mayor David said, "They're deplorable. They're not in the greatest shape. They require millions of dollars worth of investment. so certainly this is not going to solve the overall issues but it is a significant step forward in the right direction to improve our infrastructure and our aging parking facilities.

Work is scheduled to begin April 1st and be completed this October.
