Fingerprints found on Michele Harris' van are a touchy subject during testimony Tuesday in the trial of Cal Harris.

The Town of Spencer man is charged with the murder of his estranged wife Michele who disappeared in September of 2001, Her body was never found.

During his 4th day on the stand New York State Police Investigator Steven Andersen testified about latent fingerprints found on the driver side door, passenger side door and rearview mirror of Michele Harris' van.

Andersen told jurors that he found 11 identifiable latent prints on the van along with 5 unidentifiable latent prints.

Defense attorney Bruce Barket objected to andersen's testimony about who the
prints belonged to calling it hearsay evidence since Andersen was not the one to collect the known prints that the latent ones were being compared to.

Ultimately 8 known prints were allowed into evidence and Andersen testified that the 11 identifiable latent prints matched known prints from Cal Harris and Brian Earley.

During cross examination Investigator Andersen told Barket that others could have touched the van without leaving fingerprints.

Barket thus argued that it's impossible to eliminate the possibility of additional people touching the car simply because their fingerprints aren't present.

Today Andersen also testified that he found no traces of blood in the Harris' house apart from the blood stains found in the kitchen alcove and the garage. He also noted that during his search he did not detect any signs of forced entry into the home.

Testimony will continue tomorrow afternoon at 1, when forensic blood analyst Dr.Henry Lee will take the stand
