The Village of Port Dickinson is under significant fiscal stress - this according to the State Comptroller's Office.


Port Dickinson had the third-highest fiscal stress score of the 539 villages studied by the comptroller.


Port Dickinson had a fiscal score of 67.5 percent. A score over 65 percent indicates significant stress. The score is a big jump over last year when it's score from the comptroller was just 22.5 percent.


According to the comptroller's office, the village had a downward swing in cash versus current liabilities and as a percentage of monthly expenditures from 2013 to 2014.
