Family and friends mourn the loss of a Vestal woman who went missing in January. Funeral services for Saundra Stabler were held at New Life Ministries in Endicott.

Stabler, 82, was last seen at her residence on Ideal Terrace in Vestal on January 25, 2015.

Family members describe Stabler as a sweet and loving woman. She was known as a portrait artist and the Union Endicott Homecoming Queen in 1950. Dozens of family members and friends are taking the time today to celebrate her life.

Pastor Sebastian Prospero of New Life Ministries said, "Always filled with compassion, joy and encouragement. I looked forward to her encouragement every week. It was infectious and everybody looked forward to going to that door to enter the sanctuary to be able to get to see Sandra. She was like a Grandma to all at us and she's going to be missed."

Police are not releasing further details regarding Stabler's death at this time.
