The Binghamton firefighters are investigating the cause of a car fire that broke out on State Street Tuesday.


According to fire Captain Robert Parke, when firefighters arrived at the scene there was a car completely engulfed in flames.


Parke says that the heat from the fire damaged the side paneling of the building at 623 State Street.


Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly and no one was injured.
