Friendly Rivalry for First Annual President's Cup

Two local colleges drop the puck on a friendly rivalry later this week.
SUNY Broome's hockey team will face-off against the Binghamton University club team 7:00 PM Thursday, February 5th at SUNY Broome's Ice Center for the First Annual Presidents Cup Hockey Game.
Students bringing their student ID get into the game for free and all others will be two dollars a piece.
The presidents from both schools hope that a little competition will ultimately bring the schools closer together.
"Again I think this is another way to bring us a little bit closer, but also a little bit in competition as well. I think the relationship has been very peaceful and synergistic and I think adding a little bit of emotion will be helpful," said Binghamton University President, Harvey Stenger.
"I think it gives us a little bit more to play for, a little bit bigger of a challenge. Something like we want to win for our school not just for our team," said SUNY Broome Defenceman Andrew Meeker.
There is an added bonus: the losing team's president has to wear the opposing teams school sweatshirt.
