Harlem Globetrotter Has Special Message For Elementary Students

A member of the world famous Harlem Globetrotters visited kids at the Chenango Bridge Elementary School with a universal message.
Zeus McClurkin spoke to the students about the ABC's of bullying and how they need to take action and show bravery and compassion to fight the behavior. And, of course, he couldn't resist the chance to bring up some students and teachers to re-create the team's famous magic circle to show off some passing skills. He also thrilled the kids with a dunk.
"I have to say that the kids here in Binghamton are probably more excited than the kids I've been around lately. All the kids have a great time but these guys really energized me. I'm ready to go play a game right now," said McClurkin.
"It was great because if there were kids who were bullied in the past here I think that made them feel really good about themselves," said Chenango Bridge Elementary School 6th-Grade Student Darien Henry.
The Globetrotters will be at the Maines Veterans Memorial Arena next Thursday, February 5th at 7pm. They'll take on our own Jeremy Donovan and the Washington Generals.
