Reed completes transfer to Tennessee State

Likely closing the book for good on the Jordan Reed chapter at Binghamton University, the once star player has completed his transfer. ESPN's Jeff Goodman reported on Twitter on Tuesday that the Bearcats leading scorer each of the last two seasons has completed his transfer to Tennessee State of the Ohio Valley Conference. Goodman calls it a "good pick up for [head coach] Dana Ford."

NCAA rules stipulate that any player transferring between Division I schools must sit out a full year, meaning that Reed, currently a junior, will only be eligible for the second semester of his senior year. Perhaps a minor detail, but the #3 that Reed wore as a member of the Bearcats is currently unavailable at Tennessee State as it's being worn by freshman guard Rodney Simeon.

The Bearcats continue America East play on Sunday as they host Stony Brook at 2:00.
