Ramsaran Enters Guilty Plea on Bribery Charge

A Chenango County man convicted of killing his wife has pleaded guilty to bribing a corrections officer.

Ganesh "Remy" Ramsaran entered the plea Wednesday. Ramsaran killed his wife Jennifer in December of 2012. He was sentenced to 25 years to life in December of 2014. The trial featured lurid testimony and evidence of an affair between Ramsaran and his mistress.

Before his sentencing Ramsaran offered a corrections officer $100,000 to help him escape the Chenango County Jail. Sentencing on the bribery charge is set for February 3rd at 1:30.
