A Look at Happenings in the Southern Tier as Summer Winds Down

Summer might be winding down, but there is a lot of fun to be had with a holiday weekend approaching. Here are some stories of such fun in our southern tier wrap....starting in Endwell.

Artists are set to be part of a free and family-friendly festival designed to transform State Street's historic buildings in Binghamton into canvases of cinematic art with use of projected light and synced sound effects.
It will be called Luma Fest and this sight to behold will take place as the sun sets on Friday.
And, this week's heat is causing the Town of Vestal to keep the Memorial Pool on Clayton Ave. open longer.
The pool will now be open through Friday. Pool hours through Thursday will be noon until 7:30pm, depending on daylight. On Friday, the pool will be open until 6 pm and then be closed for the season. The cost to use the pool is one dollar for children and two dollars for adults.
