B-Sens success means staying out of the box

It would take a literal miracle for the B-Sens to make the playoffs for a third straight season. With nine games left, they're 16 points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Lately, they've been shooting themselves in the proverbial foot. Saturday against Bridgeport, the B-Sens committed four penalties in the second period alone. The Sound Tigers only scored one power play goal on the evening, but the game long effects are harder to overcome.
"It takes some guys out of the game and plays some guys too much," said Head Coach Luke Richardson. "Some guys that we play both powerplay and penalty kill and it does wear them out, so it does take a little away from our momentum as a team. But, we just got to make sure we play aggressive but within the rules and stay out of the box."
The B-Sens travel to Syracuse for a 7:00 game on Wednesday.
