Sunday, January 18, 2015 11:32 PM EST
A local observatory is inviting the public to observe an event that happens just once every three years.
Kopernik Observatory is hosting one more observing session of comet Lovejoy Monday night.
The public can learn how to identify constellations in the winter sky and check out the comet that is millions of miles away from earth.
The last observing session at the Kopernik Observatory for comet Lovejoy will be Monday from six to nine p.m., as long as the skies are clear.
For sky conditions, you can check their website at Kopernik.org or you can call 748-3685.
