Diane Testani Hair Salon Holds Haircut-A-Thon

A local hair salon in Endwell donated a day's worth of funds to an assisted living home in our area.
Diane Testani Hair Salon hosted a "haircut-a-thon" to benefit the Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
The House will provide living quarters for terminally ill patients of Broome and Tioga Counties. The church is being renovated to support 10 private resident bedrooms, a double suite for visitors and a library.
$1,600 was raised at Sunday's event and all proceeds will go to Mercy House.
Diane Testani, of Diane Testani Hair Salon said, "I just think that the community needs a place like Mercy House. My mom died of cancer and I stopped work for 4 months to help take care of her and I know there are so many people in the world that don't have someone to help them so I just think it's a great cause and I would like to see Mercy House succeed."
Everyone who got their haircut Sunday was given a free bag of make-up.
