Binghamton School District Holds Roundtable Discussion about 2015-2016 Budget

Residents of the Binghamton City School District had a chance to voice their opinions to administrators about the city's 2015-2016 school budget at a community round table discussion tonight.

Administrators offered a survey to parents of the district, and with 130 responses they tabulated some of the most important issues to parents, including smaller class sizes and the continuation of AP and IB programs.

"The Board of Education in Binghamton was very focused on making the budget process transparent. They wanted to solicit input from parents and the community as to what is important to them," said Marion Martinez, Superintendent, Binghamton City School District.
