After Governor Cuomo announces a ban on all fracking in New York State, members of Citizen Action are celebrating the victory.

The group has been present at just about all fracking hearings within the past year the organizations say the Governor made the right decision based on scientific studies.

Citizen Action is claiming a grassroots victory to the ban on fracking in New York State.

Members of the organization have announced they will be attending the State of the State Address January 21st to publicly thank Governor Cuomo for his decision. The organization sights irreversible harm to the environment as well as pollution to air and water for the reason the decision was made.

Anti-Fracking Activist Isaac Silberman-Gorn said, "That was what informed the grassroots movement and encouraged such passion on the ground to pressure Governor Cuomo who made the right decision and stood up for people in the Southern Tier against one of the most powerful industries in the world."

Citizen action will be attending a hearing on the constitution pipeline Monday morning.

They say they'll begin to shift their focus to President Obama and climate change.
