Posted On:
Binghamton City Council has a new president. Bill Berg will replace former council president Teri Rennia.

A new president is elected during the first business meeting of each year.

Berg has served on the city council for four year prior to becoming council president. This is his first year serving as president.

"My main focus is going to be again making sure that what the people pay their taxes for they get. And that is obviously infrastructure. Snow plowing, garbage removal, police and fire. That's the major things people expect," said Bill Berg, Binghamton City Council President.

Appointed to City Council Finance Committee: Jerry Motsavage, Teri Rennia and Chris Papastrat.

Other members were appointed to various committees including Public Works Planning and Development, and the Public Affairs Committee.
