One Dead after Fatal Four-Car Collision in Gibson

One person is dead after a foiur-car collision on State Route 3004 at State
Route 29 in Gibson.

Pennsylvania State Police say 27-year-old Andrew Stevens of North Carolina was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision happened just before 4:30 p.m. Friday as one car and two tractor trailers were stopped west on State Route 29.

According to reports, Stevens was struck by a moving car traveling west downhill when it was unable to stop hitting the rear of his vehicle. The same car also struck a trailer. Reports say the two cars caught fire.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash is still under investigation.
