Ever since I came to the US I have been a Mets Fan. That was mostly due to my cousins who were diehard fans themselves. Also, it just so happened that we lived walking distance from Shea Stadium. It was during the 80's and the Mets had up and coming players like Doc Gooden and Darryl Strawberry and veterans like Keith Hernandez and Gary Carter.  The combination of young and veteran players allowed the Mets  to win many games and more importantly a championship in 1986.
