The Indians won in Kansas City on Friday afternoon 8-3. Tribe pitcher Derek Lowe went 6 2/3 innings with two strikeouts to get his second win of the season. Asdrubal Cabrera was the leading hitter for the Indians going 2-5 with a home run in the 9th and also getting two RBIs.
The Indians started the game hot by scoring seven runs in the first inning, capped off by a Michael Brantley double scoring Jack Hannahan. Royals starting pitcher Luke Hochevar left the in the bottom of the fourth inning after being struck in the left ankle by a Carlos Santana line-drive.
