Police say 12-year-old Franklin Pikonganna has returned home and is safe.

Anchorage police are searching for a boy who hasn’t been seen or heard from by his family in 24 hours.


Police said 12-year-old Franklin Pikonganna was last seen at a residence on the 3600 block of Peterkin Avenue around 5 p.m.


“There is concern for his well-being,” police said in a statement.


Franklin was wearing a black t-shirt, brown pants and a black sweater. He also had on red and black shoes. He is 5-feet-4-inches tall and has black hair and brown eyes.


Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 786-8900.
