Bengladeshi community marks Int’l Language Day

Bronx residents of Bengladeshi heritage celebrated the 40th International Language Day Monday.



The day is meant for people to take pride in their native languages.



People who speak Bangla hold celebrations that involve speech and poetry contests for children and adults.



"We are very proud of it, and we celebrate all this," says Naziul Huck, who organized a party in Parkchester.
