Farrukh and Bushra Baig plead guilty in 7-Eleven immigrant scam

A Long Island couple has pleaded guilty to concealing and harboring undocumented immigrants for financial gain, according to Newsday.



Farrukh and Bushra Baig were among 11 7-Eleven owners and managers arrested in June 2013 for allegedly forcing immigrants to work long hours and confiscating their pay.



Farrukh is facing up to 10 years in prison. His wife faces up to a year.



The couple must also surrender over $2 million in back pay and forfeit $5 million in profits.
