A Blooming Grove woman was unhurt after a wild turkey crashed through her car windshield in Goshen Tuesday.

The mother of three had just dropped off her children at school and was driving on Craigville Road. Police say the 45-pound turkey ricocheted off a truck, slammed into the woman?s windshield and landed on her lap. A passerby helped remove the dead turkey from the car.

Police say the woman was lucky she didn?t lose control of her car during the incident. They add there is a high population of turkeys in the woods on Craigville Road.
