Emergency Landing For Airplane In Corinth

Published: Updated:

CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) - Airport officials were impressed with a small plane pilot following an emergency landing Thursday in Corinth.

It happened near 4 p.m. at the Corinth-Alcorn County Airport. Airport General Manager Donna Briggs says a Cessna 414 owned by a family of four were in route to North

Carolina from Arkansas when the plane’s right engine went out.

Briggs says she received a call about the plane near 3:40 p.m. from the Memphis center.

The four family members were on board, along with a pilot.

Briggs says the plane was circling the airport to burn off fuel, but the pilot was eventually able to land safely. Briggs did call in local first responders as precaution.
