Knights Seek Another Skyline Title & Beyond

Published: Updated:
GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- The North Valley Lady Knights are the top-ranked 4A girls soccer team in the entire state of Oregon.
“I think our confidence is pretty high I just hope we don’t get complacent with it," Lady Knights junior Bri Robles said. "We’ve done really well so far."
The Lady Knights use each piece of the field to attack their opponents.
North Valley has recored six-straight shutout victories and enter Thursday's game with a perfect 11-0 record.
“It’s a chance for this group of girls to make school history which is very exciting," Lady Knights Head Coach Nicole Kersten said. "North Valley’s never won a state title.”
However, Kersten and her Knights feel plenty confident heading into the remaining regular season schedule with an immediate goal of winning the Skyline Conference for the second season in a row.
“We just kind of take it game by game," Senior McKenzie Comyford said. "We look forward to Hidden Valley a lot because it’s (our) rivals and we want to beat them but we just kind of take it game by game."
With three regular season games left, the top-ranked Lady Knights have their eyes on a state title, which even a championship game appearance would mark history for the program.
