Binghamton Honored for Anti-Tobacco Efforts

The City of Binghamton is honored in Albany at Legislative Education Day for it's efforts to protect youth from tobacco marketing.

This according to Tobacco Free Broome and Tioga. Binghamton became one of the first localities in the state to prevent new tobacco and electronic cigarette retailers from locating near schools. According to Tobacco Free Broome and Tioga the tobacco industry spends $1.1 million per day on marketing.
