Thousands Attend St. James Easter Mass

More than 3,000 people attended St. James Roman Catholic Church in Johnson City Sunday for their Easter Mass.
Easter is a holiday where Christians celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
St. James' congregation renewed their baptismal promise and remembered the life of Jesus Christ who they believe died for the sins of mankind.
"Well the celebration of Easter is the highlight of the Christian life, it's celebrating that in our sinfulness we are forgiven and that the resurrection is our redemption that we have the opportunity to enter into the gates of Heaven," said St. James Father John Donovan.
The church held a free dinner after the service.
