Rod Serling Day in Binghamton

Published:
Imagine, if you will, 5th grade students celebrating one of the area's most accomplished writers and a Binghamton High School Graduate.

Thursday is Rod Serling Day. Sterling created The Twilight Zone. The students studied episodes written by Serling that focused on human behaviors such asempathy, tolerance, justice, mob mentality, and scapegoating.

Anne Serling, Rod Serling's daughter also answered questions from the students.

"And they really get what's going on and it's a program that I think that my father would have thought was his greatest acolyte. That these kids still study the Twilight Zone and they really understand it," said Anne Serling.

Anne says that her father always said that "prejudice is the biggest evil of our time."
