A Local Foundation Provides Support With Growing Heroin Epidemic

With heroin continuing to be a growing epidemic in our area, one local foundation is looking to educate the youth and the general public about the dangers of the drug.
The dreams over drugs foundation hosted a showing of the documentary "The Hungry Heart" at Deposit High School tonight, in an effort to raise awareness about drug addiction and the recovery process.
Kellie Musa, Vice President of Dreams Over Drugs Foundation said, " It's so important that we talk to our community, we talk to our youth. We have to inform them of the real dangers of the drug epidemic and it's not stopping, it's not letting up, it's only getting worse.
The foundation is offering community support groups every other Saturday for those who have been affected by drug addiction. The next meeting will be held at 105 Nanticoke Avenue in Endicott on March 28 at 6pm.
