Car Dealership Owner Pleads Guilty to Felony Tax Charges

A Cortland County car dealership owner has pleaded guilty to felony tax charges.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced that 47 year old Joseph Fezza, owner of J-F Auto World in Cortlandville pleaded guilty to grand larceny, criminal tax fraud and repeated failure to file personal income tax returns.

The A-G says between March of 2004 and September 2009 Fezza failed to pay more than 175 thousand dollars in sales taxes, failed to file quarterly sales tax returns and failed to file personal tax returns. In exchange for his plea, Fezza will serve one year in jail and pay 50 thousand dollars in restitution before his sentencing.
