A Preview of this Spring's Restaurant Week

Published:
With spring right around the corner, locally owned restaurants are gearing up for their annual restaurant week.

On Thursday night, the Lost Dog Cafe hosted a special tasting for local media organizations in order to preview samples from many participating restaurants. Thirty one businesses are participating in this year's spring restaurant week which begins Tuesday March 24th and runs through April 2nd. Restaurants will provide three course meal options for both lunch and dinner to promote economic growth in the city and to raise funds for local charitable organizations.

"There's more and more restaurants opening up in downtown Binghamton and the city really feels like it's coming alive and we kind of feel like maybe we did have a little bit, a little tiny speck to do with it because we keep pushing on this and all of us are really excited about it," said Co-Owner of Lost Dog Cafe, Marie McKenna.

Since it's launch in March 2010, Binghamton Restaurant Week has brought more than 1.5 million dollars in restaurant week sales and nearly 50 thousand dollars in donations to charities in the Binghamton area.
