State DOT Holds Public Meeting Regarding Safety Improvements to Intersection in Town of Maine

The New York State Department of Transportation held a public meeting Wednesday night at Maine Town hall to discuss plans to make safety improvements at the intersection of Route 26, East Maine Road and Ames Road in the Town of Maine.
The intersection has been identified as a high accident location and the project will correct safety deficiencies. The proposed improvements would also require the acquisition of some private property. Construction is set to begin on the project in the spring of next year and major construction should be completed by the end of next year.
