Pair of Spartans make college choices

Published:
The Maine-Endwell Spartans recent on-field success has translated to individual future success for their student-athletes. Thursday, two more Spartans joined the ranks of college athletes signing their National Letters of Intent. Trent Story committed to Austin Peay for football, Hunter Hazen to UMass for Lacrosse.

While their years of individual hard work is the reason why they are able to make the next step, none of this would be possible without a great amount of support from the Spartan family.

"We have a great group of kids that go to this school," said Story. "Also, you have to give credit to the coaches. The coaches do a great job at what they do. The teachers helping you, if you miss a class they'll let you stay after and work with you."

"We had a lot of support," said Hazen. "It started from youth, parents, community, just a lot of backing, it helps a lot."
