Walton Man Sentenced for Killing Dogs

In Delaware County court Monday a Walton man was sentenced in the shooting deaths of two Siberian Huskies.

35-year-old Jared Boice was sentenced to 24 days in jail for each of two counts of overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals. Boice killed the dogs, who were named "Kodah" and "Mush" in the Town of Tompkins in February of 2014. Boice will serve his terms concurrently. He was also sentenced to three years probation. According to the court, Boice was not the owner of the dogs.
