A fire at an Endicott home displaced a mother and 2 small children. Firefighters were called to 231 Newark Valley Road around 6:40 Wednesday evening.

Officials say when they arrived on scene flames were shooting from the front of the house. They say it took about 20 to 25 minutes to get the blaze under control and the family was able to safely escape and no one was injured in the blaze.

Officials say the cause of the fire appears to be electrical in nature and that the Red Cross is assisting the family with living accommodations.
