Main Street revitalization was on the menu for breakfast Thursday morning at the

Doubletree Hotel.

The Binghamton Chamber of Commerce hosted a discussion on revitalizing Main Street in Broome County at its February "Eggs and Issues" program. Binghamton Mayor Rich David explained the city's facades are old and outdated and its important to revitalize Main Street as well as all our gateways into the city.

"I think Binghamton being the largest urban center is the focal point and once the growth commences there it will move outside of the city to other regions," said Mayor Rich David, City of Binghamton.

The mayor said that the goal is to create an environment in downtown Binghamton that is attractive to residents and financially sensible to business owners.
