An Owego Man Facing Drug Charges After Routine Traffic Stop

An Owego man is facing drug charges after a routine traffic stop in the village.

Owego Police say 20 year old Nicholas Benker had cocaine and ecstasy in his possession when he was stopped on Temple Street. He's being charged with 3 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, which are felonies.

He's also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He's being held at the Tioga County jail on 50 thousand dollars cash bail.
