Son of Senator Libous Found Guilty of Tax Crime

The son of State Senator Tom Libous was found guilty today of under reporting income.

A judge found Matthew Libous guilty of three counts of subscribing to false tax returns in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Libous was acquitted of obstructing and impeding an IRS investigation and three other counts of subscribing to false tax returns. Matthew Libous faces up to nine years in prison. His sentencing is on April 29th.
