Man Out on Parole For Murder is Charged With Burglary

A Johnson City man who's currently out on parole for a Binghamton murder in 1994 has been arrested in connection to an armed home invasion that took place last month.

Binghamton Police arrested 38 year old James Sharpe and charged him with burglary. The second suspect 36 year old Kareem Young of Binghamton was arrested on New Year's eve.

Police say the 2 men entered an apartment on Rutherford Street with a knife and handgun and assaulted a 33 year old female. She was treated at a local hospital and released. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is urged to call 772-7080.
