Binghamton Rich David Pays a Visit to MacArthur Elementary

Published:
Binghamton Mayor Rich David continued his Youth Success Initiative today by stopping by Macarthur Elementary School.

The children asked the Mayor different questions about his job at city hall and what he does every single day. The students also spoke to the Mayor about what they wanted to see improve in the City of Binghamton. Throughout his school visits, Mayor David is starting to see a common topic discussed by the youth in the area.

"One of the dominant themes here that is consistent with many schools that I have talked to is safety. The safety in schools, in the neighborhood, on the way to and from school, and in the parks. The drugs have also been a big aspect as well," said Binghamton Mayor Rich David.

The biggest request the students made to Mayor David was more changes in the parks this summer.
