Southerntiersmen Chorus Sings To Benefit CHOW

By Fox 40 News Staff.
Hunger is a problem that no one wants to face, especially during the holidays.
The Southerntiersmen Barbershop Chorus aimed to fight that holiday hunger through songs on Saturday.
They held their 12th annual Choruses for CHOW benefit concert at the Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church to raise money to feed the hungry.
"We actually have a song we perform sometimes that means we sing to feed them all, so its almost like a special project that we do to try to do benefits for food banks and food pantries things like that to try and help the community to provide emergency food for those who need it," said Ed Blaine.
Over the last 11 years Choruses for CHOW has raised nearly $30,000 to help CHOW stop hunger in Broome County.
