New York State Police have released the toxicology report on Richard Matt, who along with David Sweat escaped the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York on June 6th.

Matt had a blood alcohol content of .18, more than twice the legal limit, when he was shot and killed by a US customs officer on June 26th. An autopsy the next day determined the cause of death to be severe skull fractures and brain injuries due to gunshot wounds to the head.

David Sweat was shot and captured two days later a couple of miles from the Canadian border. sweat is serving a life sentence for killing Broome County Sheriff Deputy Kevin Tarsia in 2002. Sweat is now serving his sentence at the Five Points Correctional Facility in Seneca County.
