More Charges for Man Charged with Stealing car from Town of Colesville

Published:
After further investigation, police are filing additional charges against the man they say stole a Chevy Impala from a Town of Colesville residence.

54-year-old Clifford Sampson is charged with forgery, a class D felony, after police say Sampson took the vehicle to a salvage yard and sold it as scrap for $200.

While doing so, police say Sampson forged a document indicating he was the owner of the vehicle. Sampson was already in the Broome County Jail on a grand larceny charge for stealing the vehicle from Nabinger Hill Road on March 16th.
