Multiple fire companies respond to a three alarm fire in Endicott.

Fire officials say the blaze at 8 Duane Street began around 5:30 PM. They also say three children and one adult were in the home when the first floor caught fire. Everyone was evacuated safely. One neighbor said she looked out of her window and saw flames pouring out of the residence.

"So, I went out the front door and I walked down about 10 feet and I looked out and there were flames shooting out of both the bottom windows, you know, like a real fire. It was bad," says neighbor Kim Harper.

"The cold temperatures didn't affect us as much as a shortage of manpower affected us. We had to wait for crews to arrive before we could actually start getting there safely," says Donald Collins, Captain of Endicott fire department.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
